Burpee Form
Good burpee form is controlled, repeatable and appropriate for your level. A daily challenge should never depend on rushed reps that you cannot repeat tomorrow.
Basic burpee sequence
Start standing, place your hands down, move your feet back, return your feet under you and stand up. Add a jump or push-up only when it fits your ability and challenge rules.
Form cues that matter
Keep your hands stable, brace through the middle and avoid collapsing into the floor. The movement should look controlled even when you are tired.
- Step back if jumping back is too aggressive.
- Use a controlled plank position.
- Stand fully at the top of each rep.
- Keep reps honest and repeatable.
How form affects streaks
A streak is only valuable if the movement remains sustainable. Scaling today can protect tomorrow's training.
Frequently asked questions
Do burpees need a push-up?
Not always. Some versions include a push-up, while beginner and challenge versions can remove it to keep volume manageable.
Is stepping back allowed?
Yes. Step-back burpees are a common scale for beginners or high-volume days.
